The 3-year-old Jessie. Her mother was on drugs for years while she was pregnant with Jessie. Born addicted. But this girl is raised by her 71-year-old great aunt Cheryl in the suburbs of Phoenix, Arizona. She lives a few blocks from her sister, just 2 years older, who has been adopted by other relatives.

Because doctors have easily been prescribing opiates, there are more than 2 million Americans addicted to this analgesic medicines. Unfortunately, most end up using street drugs instead.
